１時間目は中学２年生の音楽の授業です。リコーダーでエーデルワイスを演奏しました。曲が少し難しかったようですが、最後にはみんなで合奏を行えるようになりました。

Period 1,

They joined music class.

We played Edelweiss by the recorder. It seemed difficult but finally we could play it together.

２時間目は中学１年生の体育です。内容は空手です。本校の生徒が留学生に空手の型を教えました。まだ、中学１年生ということもあり、英語の上手な表現が思い浮かばない事もあったようですが、身振り手振りを交え頑張ってくれました。

Period 2,

They joined P.E class. We practiced Karate.

Our junior students told them how to do it.

Teaching in English was difficult but they tried best by using some gestures.

４時間目は高校２年生の世界史の授業です。生徒参加型のデジタル教材「kahoot!」を使い、ニュージランドに関するクイズなどを行い、コミュニケーションをとりました。

Period 4,

They joined History class.

We had a quiz competition by using Kahoot!

We communicated with each other in a group.

５時間目は中学３年生の数学の授業です。数学の図形を利用したクイズを実施しました。専門用語や難しい数式が必要のない図形という事もあり、留学生が大活躍したようです。

Period 5,

They joined math class.

We did a quiz using diagrams.

We enjoyed working together.

６時間目は、高校1年生の理科の実験に参加しました。冬の寒い時期という事もあり、身近なカイロを作成しました。身近な日常の事象を授業に落とし込む、貴重な機会となりました。

Period 6,

They joined science class.

We made disposable heat pads.

It was a great opportunity for us to apply what we had learned.

放課後は、茶道の体験に参加しました。正座をするのは少し難しかったようですが、お茶は上手にたてられたようです。伝統的な日本文化にふれる貴重な機会となりました。

After school,

They joined the tea ceremony.

It seemed difficult for them to sit in the correct manner on a Japanese tatami mat. But they enjoyed not only tasting Japanese green tea but also making it by themselves. It was a good chance to experience the traditional Japanese culture.
